Donate to a good home

Well the packing is coming along nicely, and along with packing things to keep I am also packing a lot of stuff to donate to Salvation Army. They are getting a plethora of great stuff that I just can't justify keeping, and that none of my friends or co-workers or friends of friends and co-workers wanted. Facebook has been a huge help surprisingly with the give-aways and sale of some great stuff.

This week (between work that is) I will be taking donations to the Salvation Army and moving items to my new (interim) place. I am looking forward to this move despite it being very busy all of a sudden, I am still excited.
I am very excited to be having my dad come out from the east coast in July to road trip back to Nova Scotia with me on a USA roadtrip! We're both pretty excited about this, mostly because we will be seeing the best ball team (as far as we are concerned) at a home game in Boston, at good 'ol Fenway! Wow, in my dad's words "when we hit syracuse I'll be vibrating I'll be so excited" I can't wait to see that it will be funny enough.
Well off to organize boxes and bags of donations...

Pack attack!

As I sit here taking a moment to think, I realize how close I am to heading on my greatest adventure of heading to the UK to try my hand at some travel nursing. I have a ton of emotions going on right now and the ones at the fore front of my mind all revolve around my family, and how I miss them so much.

Especially as I sit here and look at the disaster zone which is my apartment, with boxes and paper and everything all over the place I know my mom would be able to make quick work out of everything that needs to be done in the too short amount of time I have to get it all done in.

Oh well, I will just have to try and remember all the packing tips I have learned from her over the years and apply them now. I am also sad as I know I won't be able to see most of the stuff I am packing for at least a year or two. Oh well on to the next exciting chapter of my life! I hear the boxes calling, I must get back to them!
